Matt has been working for eShores since 2012. He has worked in the industry for the last 24 years and has extensively travelled the globe, so has a wealth of experience when it comes to giving advice on holidays. He has a passion for the States and has been to the USA over a dozen times, visiting a lot of places that aren’t your typical tourist areas such as Texas, Colorado and even Alaska, as well as the tourist favourites like New York and Los Angeles.

After spending several years as a holiday rep in Europe, Matt wanted to see the world so he has been to several of Caribbean islands, visited North Africa and the Middle East, he’s also travelled around Asia and has been as far as Australia. Here’s a bit more from Matt..

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

Love going out for food and drinks and I’m a bit of a film geek so could sit watching films and TV series for days on end!

What are your essential items that you take with you on holiday?

Berocca or good multi-vitamins. The sun and drinks can take it out of you when on holidays so having vitamins gives you that extra bit of a boost when you need it.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

3 years ago I went to Nepal and did a 10 day trek to the Base camp of mount Annapurna, which is the 10^th tallest mountain in the world. In doing this i raised over £1000 for Cancer research which was a great achievement. Although this might not be a task for avid walkers or trekker, I did the trek without any prior training…. or any level of fitness whatsoever I literally just rocked up and did it. It was by far the most difficult thing ive done and it didn’t turn me into a rambler but I’m extremely glad I did it.
