The Sofitel Legend Metropole is a sumptuous and elegant hotel set in the heart of Hanoi. It was built in 1901 and has been visited by many famous guests over the years.

Description
Location: It’s located within walking distance of the Old Quarter and is 45 minutes from Hanoi airport.
Facilities: When you’re not exploring the city, the hotel is the perfect place to relax, with two outdoor swimming pools, one of which is heated, as well as a spa, Turkish bath, sauna and Jacuzzi. If keeping fit is important, then there’s a fully equipped fitness centre. For a unique insight into life during the Vietnam War visit the bomb shelter located in the hotel’s gardens – this was only discovered in 2011 and now offers many interesting exhibits. If you have children there is also an indoor and outdoor playground.
Restaurants & Bars: The hotel boasts six exquisite restaurants and bars and is most famous for its French restaurant Le Beaulieu, which is nearly as old as the hotel and is renowned for its extravagant brunch.
Accommodation: It has 364 rooms and suites which are spread across two wings. The Metropole Wing provides historical grandeur, whereas the Opera Wing offers neo-classic elegance. All rooms feature Sofitel’s MyBed, Internet, LCD TV with DVD and a stylish bathroom.

Very professional and pleasant right from the first phone call. 'Chris' was patient with my requests and happy to make changes. He sorted out a whole itinery in a couple of days and e mailed it to me. Only slight down side was that the actual price, though reasonable, bore no resembalnce to the one quoted on the web site. I am not sure how I could have done the holiday for the orignal price; it was advertised too cheaply.

Third yearwe have used eShores to book our annual vacation, and they are great! No complaints. We say what we want to do and where and they provide a quote that we can then tailor to fit. A lot easier than us working it all out ourselves. They are also really quick at responding and very helpful with queries.
