Description
The tree lined streets and green spaces of the Museum district are great to spend hours relaxing, but the endless museums on offer there will certainly keep your days filled. 19 Museums in total, the most popular being The Museum of Natural Science, the Holocaust Museum, the Museum of fine Arts, the Children’s Museum of Houston and the National Museum of Funeral History.
Houston is a sports fan’s dream… If you fancy watching a game of basketball take a trip to watch the Houston Rockets. If American football is more your thing, then the Houston Texans will be sure to deliver a game to remember! For something a little different, how about visiting the Houston roller Derby. Then what kind of visit to Houston would it be without a visit to Minute Maid Park to see the Houston Astros knock out an interesting game of baseball.
For a bit of fun have a day at Wet ‘n’ Wild waterpark. The Houston Zoo and the Downtown Aquarium are also great for all the family. Then the Houston Space Center is also an iconic attraction that cannot be missed.
When it comes to the arts head to the Theatre District, home to several theatres offering a variety of shows, as well as the renowned Houston Grand Opera. The Houston Ballet and Houston Symphony will also put on a show to remember.
When it comes to evening entertainment Houston will not disappoint! Buzzing sports bars and honky-tonk bars litter the city. The Historic District is a great place to head for trendy bars and restaurants, all set within 19th-century buildings. Midtown offers a mix of restaurants, lively bars and bustling night clubs and Washington Corridor boasts a number of Houston’s top restaurants and wine bars.
