✈️ UK to Phnom Penh (2 nights): This itinerary begins with a flight from the UK to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital, where you will commence your exploration of this fascinating country.  Visit the Royal Palace, home to the Cambodian royal family, and explore the Silver Pagoda, famous for its floor made of silver tiles and the Emerald Buddha. Learn about Cambodia’s tragic past at the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. For a spot of relaxation, unwind with a peaceful boat ride along the majestic Mekong River, soaking in the stunning views.

🚗 Phnom Penh to Siem Reap (via Tonlé Sap):  From Phnom Penh, you’ll be whisked away by your private transfer for a scenic drive to Siem Reap, taking you via the peaceful waters of Tonlé Sap Lake. Siem Reap is the gateway to the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious monument, where you can explore the ancient temples such as Bayon Temple with its many faces, and the jungle-covered Ta Prohm. Beyond the temples, explore Angkor Thom and visit the Angkor National Museum to learn about the region’s fascinating history.  Siem Reap itself is a vibrant town, with a mix of activities and things to see and do.  Enjoy the lively atmosphere of Pub Street, explore the bustling Old Market, or take a boat trip on the nearby Tonlé Sap Lake to visit the floating villages.

🚗 Siem Reap to Battambang (2 nights): After your time in Siem Reap, you’ll be transported to Battambang, a charming town that is known for its French colonial architecture and laid-back atmosphere that will give you a glimpse into traditional Cambodian life. One of the best ways to see the surrounding countryside is by taking a tuk-tuk tour, passing through serene rice fields and picturesque villages. Visit the impressive Phnom Sampeau, a hilltop temple offering panoramic views and fascinating caves that hold historical significance. The Bat Caves here are particularly spectacular, especially at dusk, when thousands of bats fly out of the caves creating a dramatic display.  Another fun stop is the Bamboo Bridge, a unique structure built from bamboo that connects rural areas across the river. For a cultural experience, head to the local markets where you can join in some lively barter.

🚗 Battambang to Cardamom Mountains (2 nights). Next, you’ll continue your journey with a private transfer to the Cardamom Mountains, offering the perfect escape into Cambodia’s unspoiled nature.  This remote region is famous for its for eco-adventures including guided jungle treks to explore the dense forest, where you might spot rare animals such as the Indochinese tiger or Asian elephants. The mountains are also home to several indigenous communities, and a visit to one of the villages gives you an incredible insight into their traditional way of life.

🚗 ⛴️ Cardamom Mountains to Koh Rong Island (5 nights):  From the mountains, you’ll be transferred to Koh Rong port, where you’ll catch a short ferry to the idyllic island of Koh Rong. You’ll spend five nights here luxuriating on the pristine beaches and diving into the crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming and snorkelling.  You can also take a boat trip to Koh Rong Samloem for a more secluded experience. In the evening, there are plenty of local beachside restaurants to enjoy the local catch of the day, indulge in a local cocktail and unwind in this tropical paradise.

🚗 ✈️ Koh Rong Island to UK. After your relaxing stay on the island, you’ll take the ferry back to the mainland and then a private transfer back to Phnom Penh for your flight back to the UK.
